Mensa Regalia is very striking with her 2-toned blanket of medium fawn and white. The contrast between the two colors in the unique patterning make her everyone's favorite. But the icing on the cake is the fact that her fleece is also very nice. She has very good crimp and fineness and is exceptionally dense. Her sire, NWA/Line EInstein is a son of the legendary Peruvian Hemingway, famed for producing cria with exceptionally fine, crimpy, uniform fleeces. Einstein also was blessed with Hemingway's other most desirable trait, and that is the ability to maintain fineness as he ages. And he bestows this ability to his cria as well.
Mensa is a good size girl with perfect conformation. And to sweeten the pot she has a lovely disposition. Mensa is an ideal girl for those looking to get colored alpacas with the characteristics most commonly found in white alpacas. And if your breeding program includes fancies or multies, she is the perfect fit.
Mensa, is being bred to Shamokin, our Studmaster El Toro son. He is a medium fawn mutli award winner with exceptionally fine fleece. Like his father he is large and was blessed with a beautiful phenotype. Shamokin's dam was black, as was Mensa's. You can see evidence of Shamokin's dark genetics in the dark pigmentation of his skin. We expect a colored cria from this pairing, and one that is superbly fine, crimpy and dense.
