Rivita Rose, or as we call her "Rosie" is dynamite girl. If you love colored alpacas, but desire the fineness of a superior white alpaca, she is definitely your choice. On her paternal side, she has 2 generations of champion True black genetics. Her sire is the multi-champion Maple Brook Sapphire, son of true black male Brittany's Desparado and true black female WLA Borgata. And in addition to giving her colored genetics, her paternal side brings her density and gorgeous crimp. But that is only half of the story. The maternal side of her pedigree is filled with some of the top fleece producing alpacas in the history of the industry-- sire Mister Antonio, grandsire Peruvian Hemingway (who needs no introduction) and granddam Peruvian Benatton. The females, unfortunately, do not get the airplay that the males do. But if one were to select the top producers ever to work within the industry, Peruvian Benatton would be considered a super star. Her cria have ended up in the top breeding programs within the country and have been the foundation for much of their success.
One look at Rivita and you can see she did indeed inherit the best of both side of her pedigree. She is incredibly fine, even for a white alpaca, let alone a grey one with a AFD of 15.7. Her fleece, which is bright and consistent in its coloring, is dense and uniform. Her conformation is right on the money. Add all this to her stunning phenotype-- great coverage, lovely head and terrific presence, and you have a very special alpaca.
Rivita Rose is being bred to MSA Cannonero for a Fall 2008 cria. We expect nothing short of wonderful from the pairing of these 2 super alpacas.
Rivita Rose comes to HaSu from the Aberegg Alpaca Farm as a maiden and never participated in any shows. We believe that Rosie could begin her show career and find great success within the fleece competitions, if a new owner desired to do so.
